Scanvogn A/S wishes to raise the bar in terms of flexibility, custom-made solutions, high finish, hygiene, design and quality.
The demand for comfort and hygienic sanitary facilities is on the rise whether it is at a construction site or at a sport or music event. This also applies in regards to emergency sheltering.
The vision of Scanvogn A/S is to contribute in a positive manor in our costumers’ success by offering high quality, hygienic and lightweight solutions for accommodation and sanitation.
1995: Establishing by Finn Andersen and Frits Stjerne.
Finn Andersen established a production of lightweight trailers in 1985 and Frits Stjerne had his background in the building industry. They started Scanvogn A/S due to an order of 200 wagons.
1997: Moving to the existing production plant in Tornby.
1999: The wagons made of wood are replaced by lightweight trailers made of sandwich panels in fibreglass . Scanvogne A/S was first movers in this business.
2000: The first big orders for lightweight trailers made of sandwich panels in fibreglass. Scanvogne A/S is now market leading in Denmark.
2006: Sold to capital partner Dansk Generationsskifte A/S. This established the basis for further industrialization and globalization of Scanvogn A/S. Frits Stjerne stayed in the company until 2008.
2007: The production peaks with an annual production of 3000 wagons
2007: Establishing of companies in Norway, Sweden and Germany
2007: Entrepreneur of the Year in the northern part of Denmark
2008: Frits Stjerne is leaving Scanvogn A/S. The global crisis also hits Tornby
2011: September - Scanvogn is declared bankrupt
2011: November - Finn Andersen and Frits Stjerne buys Scanvogn A/S back
2012: Scanvogn A/S expands from 15 to 60 staff members.
Scanvogn A/S is now operating in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Holland and Australia. Through a local partner in Kenya the Scanvogn products are also sold in Eastern Africa.
